Excellent article. As an follower of Weston Price and Mary Enig (google those names, you will learn a LOT) – the only thing I would add is to focus more on healthy animal fats and less on carbohydrates. Yes, the total number of calories vs exercise is important, but by far the single greatest culprit in weight gain is the carbs (which includes sugars and therefore alcohol). If you keep your carb count (percentage of cals obtained from carbs) down below 25%, excess weight will burn right off your body, and your digestive system will thank you.
