@Alex- Great point. I find that asking yourself a ton of questions throughout the day really helps. My favorite is, "what is wrong with this moment?" makes you instantly present! Thanks for joining the conversation. Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Really amazing list of practical exercises.

felt myself entering presence as i read it.

solid stuff.

one that i would add that has been helping me heaps lately, from the Sedona Method, is to feel all the stuckness and thoughts and whatever yuo're feeling right now and then ask yourself, "Can i let this go?"

Respect

@apricot tea
I completely agree! It takes diligent practice to be present. Kind of seems backwards doesn't it. We should be able to actually enjoy reality! I work on it constantly as well.

@Homemaker Barbi
I overuse "living in the now" as well, but it just describes mindfulness so well. The deep lake image works wonders. I've had to use it lately.

I love the simile of being like a deep lake. That is such a wonderful exercise and I will definitely keep it in mind.

As for "live in the now"--- I've overused that phrase so much I'm sure my friends and family want me to get a new phrase! haha Too much Wayne's World...

This article really spoke to me. I think it's so important to remember everything you listed here, but it's certainly much easier said than done. I think, for me, it's going to take a lot of practice before I can actually remind myself to do these things. But I'm certainly going to try! :]
