The hostel I currently call home in Noosa, Queensland Australia is favored among backpackers for it’s twice weekly yoga classes, buddha strewn tropical garden, colorful hammocks and cruisy vibes. This painting resides above the dining table in the staffs quarters. Though I have only been a resident for two weeks, many laughs and discussions have spawn from this piece. I had to share…

Taoism- shit happens

Buddism- if shit happens, its not really shit.

Zen- what is the sound of shit happening?

Hinduism- this shit happened before.

Protestant- shit wont happen, if we work harder.

Catholic- if shit happens, I deserve it.

Voo Doo- shit doesn’t just happen; somebody dumped it on you.

New Age- we create our own shit.

Moonism- lets shit all together.

Rastafarian- lets roll up this shit and smoke it.

Alchemist- we’ll find the way to transform this shit into gold.

Socratic- I don’t know shit.

Islam- if shit happens it’s the will of Allah

Iragui- oh shit!

Judaism- why does this shit always happen to us?

Chikaraism- shit happens, live it anyway

John Galleryism- let me paint this shit!

I found this hilarious. I reckon we could add,
Atheism: “There is no shit”.
Agnosticicism: “Maybe there is shit, and maybe there isn’t.” :)
