I LOVE my Vibram Five Fingers. Once you go toe-shoe, you never go back.

Great post! It’s amazing to learn how much are normal shoes are ruining our feet! I loved the foot massage video and will try it tonight. I heard great things about Vibram FiveFinger shoes, but don’t know if you heard about Nike Free shoes http://barefootrunningshoes.org/nike-free-shoes/ Supposedly they are really flexible which allows them to flex like you would if you were to walk barefoot. Might be something worth checking out (in case some people find the Vibram FiveFingers a little too gorilla for their own tastes).

@Colin- do you where them everywhere or just when training? I really need to pick up a pair. Perhaps when I settle and don’t have to carry everything with me..haha.

I was lucky enough to have spent a lot of time barefoot as a kid during the more formative years of my feet. It really shocks me how people grow their feet into the shape of the inside of an uncomfortable shoe. I’ve been wearing FiveFingers for months now, and while I wouldn’t have chosen the word ‘comfy’,I’ve been really happy wearing them, as have my feet. Maybe I would use the word fun.

@Jon- they are most definitely comfy! I once picked up a guy who was wearing them around the airport. I figured it was a good conversation starter and it meant he was into fitness…haha turned out he was a trainer for the Navy Seals. Comfy and attractive in a certain way..haha.

I’ve seriously got to get a pair of those Vibram shoes. I’ve heard a lot about them now and I’m hooked. Thanks again, ![]()
