thinner lily allenHypnotherapy has recently become popular in the fight against fat. Hypnosis has been used for decades to help with mainly insomnia, anxiety, stress, and acute and chronic pain. Today hypnotists are making loads of money by helping their clients quit smoking, lose weight, reduce fear and panic attacks, and increase confidence and self esteem.

On Monday, British song bird Lily Allen spoke out about her experience with hypnosis and how it helped her drop 4 dress sizes. After a few sessions she was eager to hit the gym and lead a healthier lifestyle.

“After the hypnotism, I want to go to the gym every day, otherwise I feel really bad. I just want to get more toned and healthy. I’m really good about everything at the moment — I’ve never been happier,” Lily chirped to the Daily Mail.

I wonder why she didn’t have her hypnotist, Susan Hepburn, help her quit smoking. That might be something else she wants to think about! It just goes to show you how powerful your mind is and that changing your internal thought process can do a world of good.

crown 7 electric cigaretteTrying to quit smoking? Don’t buy into the latest revamp of the cigarette. The Crown 7 Electric Cigarette is a futuristic metal cigarette that has caused a huge frenzy. With this new product smokers can now get their nicotine fix without producing any harmful second hand smoke.

The Electric Cigarette apparently uses batteries to heat nicotine in a replaceable cartridge until it vaporises, which is then inhaled, delivering a full contingent of the drug. This allows smokers to “smoke” in otherwise banned places like restaurants and bars.

Sadly, this is just another ploy to keep smokers addicted. With states and cities banning smoking in restaurants and bars there was hope for people trying to quit. I know I have loved breathing cleaner air! The electric cigarette is a step in the wrong direction, but obviously tobacco companies aren’t going to change their ways when they have millions of people addicted to their products. Tobacoo companies will continue to find ways to get around laws that ban cigarettes, but hopefully smokers will realize that they can have control over their mind and body and quit for the sake of their health and everyone elses.

If you are trying to quit here is one more reason to kick the habit…scary stuff.

I came across these funny little gadgets that predict your longevity. The Longevity Game and What’s Your Real Age?, calculate how long you can expect to live based on smoking/drinking activity, nutrition, weight, and even how many times you have jumped out of a plane. While I don’t think these tools are the most accurate things in the world (my real age was calculated to be -1… and I am stoked to find I will reach the ripe old age of 97) it’s fun! Plus, these tools will give you even more reason to live a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Hoping to live to 114? The pic above is definitely not the way to do it! Check out some advice from the oldest woman in the world.
