Exposure

by Amber on March 5, 2010

Virtual pilates is building momentum. This week I contacted a few of the 10 winners of my virtual pilates giveaway. Scheduling dates across timezones takes some time. I am still reading through all of the wonderful entries, so don’t fret if you haven’t received your email. But, in the meantime I thought I’d give you all a taste of what it’s like to work with me one on one.

Like I promised in my last update, Kristin Norris of Instigationology.com was in town for the weekend and we wasted no time getting in the studio to film. As a dancer and actor she had some experience with pilates, but had never worked on the equipment Joseph Pilates created. I was happy to share these “torture” devices her. Check it….

I also just wrapped my first virtual pilates session with Carl Nelson, the dance nomad. Video of our session coming to a screen near you.

What better way to expose the true pilates method and my teaching style then through a thumping electronic clip. Hope we put a smile on your face.

Nice clip and great music, what is the title? Currently looking to expand my electronic music likes.

Ohh good question. It was Kristin’s pick. I’ll back to you on that one. I would love a copy of her ipod!

That was fantastic! I always wonder what people do in their various classes and this is the perfect intro into what a pilates class is.

@Antman- Absolutely! That’s what I was thinking. Pilates is just not understood. My job is to educate! Thanks for your thoughts and hope to see you back here soon.

I’m a Pilates teacher in Bethesda, MD, and I agree with you that Pilates is not widely understood. Love the site, and great work on the video. Keep educating!
