		<description>Great questions Amber! If you want to be more assertive you must take action. Just do. Right a simple list of things you can easily complete and do them now. That sense of accomplishment will fuel more action. Start with baby steps. It sounds like you are already aware of how people trigger you. When I realize I am getting defensive I take a big breath and remember that we don&#039;t need to allow other people to effect us. Don&#039;t let others get to you. You are in control of your thoughts and reactions. Chose a different approach. Chose to accept the moment and then move on. When you let your negative thoughts fester it only hurts you. Put your mind on something you love or imagine yourself in your favorite place with your favorite people. Or just smile :D
