As I rest en route to Rancho La Puerta in rainy Philadelphia on the brink of a movement packed week it’s hard to sit still. Am I the only one who can’t sit comfortably for more than 30 mins?

I spent the last three days power city walking and dancing in New York  where I was co-hosting interviews for Earth Balance at The Green Festival. In my jet lagged stupor I spun my way through ballet at Steps On Broadway, explored the historic Brown Stones of Brooklyn and sampled the gourmet raw and vegan restaurants of Manhattan. Even during Green Fest we hit the grass outside the convention center for 10 mins of intervals and a potent dose of sunshine with our vegan body building buddy Robert Cheeke. Moving just feels so good!

Today is Monday. Challenge Day! This weeks challenge, inspired by Aveeno, is focused on your powerful, sexy, beautiful body. If you’ve used even a fraction of my mind, body, spirit tips over the last few weeks you should be feeling more alive!  This week is no different. Our bodies hold the secret to unlimited insight, confidence, power, flexibility, grace, and presence. Commitment to our only temple everyday is vital for happiness.

Use my 4 top tips to rock your beautiful body this week:

Pump It Up: Move vigorously for at least 30 mins a day. If you focus on only one muscle this week make it the heart. Speed walk hills, jump rope, hoola hoop, zumba, jog with your pup, or kick a ball around the park. Keep your metabolism roasting!

Get Outside: The flowers are blooming and Spring showers are no excuse. Seek out and soak in nature for 30 mins per day. Allow the crisp air to fill your lungs and sun to kiss your cheeks. Tap into your wild side. Welcome home.
Rock Your Core: Harness the power of the center of your body for pain free posture and aligned efficient fitness. Hold high push up/plank for 10 long breathes, remember your side and back planks too, or follow one of my youtube videos for an entire pilates mat series.

Find The Ease: Whether you’re training for a marathon, quivering in hot yoga, or powering in the pool, find ease in your struggle. When you push your physical limits search for ways to ease the tension and stress. Can you unclench your eyebrows, jaw and shoulders? I promise it’s not helping your backstroke! Release unneeded tension, think happy thoughts and save energy for more efficient effortless movement.

Great read! I loved the graphic, but really loved “Commitment to our only temple everyday is vital for happiness.” sensational stuff amber :)
