Sleep deprived, yet ready to take on the world. I find myself wobbling a top 5 inch wedges through the Marriot lobby this morning after a red eye flight from SFO to Philadelphia. After a few broken hours of sleeping in a twisted ball, I’m en route to the largest natural product expo in the country, Natural Product Expo East. I’m elated to join the power house team behind Brad’s Raw Foods for a whirlwind affair.
Brad Gruno, the green juice loving, passionate entrepreneur behind Brad’s Raw Food’s has built a multi million dollar company literally from his garage. Since our first conversation at The Green Festival New York back in April, Brad’s been a relentless supporter and sponsor of my teaching, coaching, retreats and day workshops. He packs our guests goodie bags with delicious kale and flax chips and trains with me in the pilates studio when he’s in town. Remember his pictures holding plank on the Reformer in one of my last newsletters? So fun!
Thanks to Brad I get to experience the mayhem and merriment that is #ExpoEast. Natural Product Expo holds two massive events per year. One in Baltimore (East) the other in Los Angeles (West). Natural food product companies from all over the world come out to show their wears, learn industry secrets, meet their competition and network like crazy. As a product reviewing blogger, and lover of all natural food products made from organic vegan and ideally raw ingredients, I’m like a kid in a candy store at these expos. Mingling, sampling, interviewing and chilling at after parties are my forte.
As always, I’m keeping my eyes peeled for innovative organic raw vegan, gluten free, soy free, agave free products to share with you. Nothing is better than fruit, nuts and veg straight from the Earth, but sometimes packaged bars, crispy snacks, and superfood powders are what people need to transition and maintain healthy eating.
