Pilates, Yoga, And Surf Retreat In Paradise!

As the Summer days fade and the leaves begin to turn in the Fall crisp breeze, it’s hard not to get a little teary eyed. Luckily, endless Summer is only a short plane ride away. This October I say bye bye to San Francisco freezing temps and hello to the tropical beaches of Troncones, Mexico!

This Fall I’ve joined forces with my yogi dear friend, Tyler Lavigne, to offer an all inclusive 7 day 6 night pilates, yoga and surf adventure retreat. An affordable getaway to shape, refresh and align the mind, body and spirit at one of the top ten yoga retreats on the planet. We’ve fused our passions for yoga, pilates, nature and fun to help you cultivate mind/body awareness, strength, and flexibility.

This blissful week of renewal includes morning pilates mat conditioning, evening restorative vinyasa yoga, professional surf lessons and local day excursions. Munch organic five star cuisine while you lounge by your beach bungalow!

We wanted to offer a retreat that we would love to join. A week where we could relax on white sand beaches, stay active, nosh healthy dishes, explore, and connect with awesome people.

Our Retreat Includes:

  • 7 day 6 night stay in double occupancy beach front bungalows
  • All meals. Five-star organic, locally grown, gourmet meals. Three per day.
  • Daily pilates mat class and evening yoga practice in an open air, beach front studio.
  • Two optional professional surf lessons with Tyler.
  • Two day excursions. A day hike into the surrounding jungle to spy waterfalls and caves, along with secluded beach exploring.
  • Not included: Airfare, extra activities offered by Present Moment.

You probably already know my teaching style, background and passion for wellness from my pilates video library and about page, but here’s a short bio.

Amber is certified through the rigorous and renowned comprehensive Ron Fletcher Program of Study, under the direction of Catherine Anderson. She was first introduced to the method while pursuing her dance degree at San Francisco State University. Pilates cured her of chronic back pain and other overuse injuries related to dance. Amber instantly fell in love with the technique and realized it not only aided her longevity in her dance career, but was a way for her to inspire others through movement and the mind-body connection. She’s worked with a wide range of clients from professional dancers and athletes, to pre and post natal, to rehab. Amber is additionally certified in pre and post natal, Fletcher Towel, Floor and Barre techniques.

She has spent the last several years dancing professionally throughout the bay area including work with Robert Moses Kin, Janice Garrett and Dancers, Paco Gomez and Alex Ketley.

Most recently, Amber spent seven months teaching Pilates workshops and dancing throughout Australia. She continues to push her limits by teaching retreats and workshops abroad. Her teaching credits in San Francisco include San Francisco State University and UCSF along with a few private boutique studios.

What you can expect in classes or private sessions:
With over 22 years of ballet and modern dance training under her belt, Amber brings a creative, fluid approach to her classes. Focus on breath, precision, and mindfulness, infuse each session. Amber strongly believes in quality over quantity. Building a balanced, toned and pain free body while challenging the mind with breath/body coordination, dynamics, balance and grace is her forte. She is a lover of all movement and is constantly inspired through continued education in the Pilates method, anusara and ashtanga yoga, meditation and all forms of dance.
