Did you know that the way food looks and smells is equally important to how it tastes? To our brains, “taste” is actually a fusion of a taste, smell, and touch into a single sensation. Interesting, right?
We love beautiful food (who doesn’t)! So color up and use any vegetable you want, and all the greens you can find in your fridge. A real treat is the raw vegan rice, make sure to try it out!
The fun thing about raw vegan recipes is that you can personalize them. Here is our version of a colorful veggie bowl.
Raw Vegan Rice
- Heart of Palm
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Vinegar
Cut Heart of Palm and Cauliflower into inch long sections and place in food processor. Pulse until rice consistency.
Almond Dill Lime Garlic Hummus
- 1 Bundle of Dill
- 1 Cup Almonds
- 2 Limes
- 1/2 Clove Garlic
- 1/2 Cup Water
Chop Dill and Garlic and place in VitaMix or other high speed blender. Add the almonds, water, squeeze 2 limes into the mixture. Blend until hummus consistency. If you’d like a less thick sauce, add water until desired consistency is reached.
- Purple Cabbage
- Red Bell Pepper
- Greens: Kale, Swiss Chard
Chop veggies into desired sizes. Add contents to bowl and enjoy! You can layer the veggies over the bed of greens and mix it all or add in columns as we did. The choice is yours! Decorate your raw vegan veggie bowl by drizzling the Dill Hummus over the bowl or by massage into the greens for a salad. Be creative!
