I’m finally feeling caught up after interviewing and connecting with the amazing exibitors and speakers that rocked the LA Convention Center last weekend for Green Festival Los Angeles.

Friday morning I landed amongst the palm trees for a day of prep, mouth watering raw food and beach strolls through Venice and Santa Monica. With yoga or pilates studios on every block and conscious cuisine on every corner I could easily transplant or split my time between SF and LA.
I was eager to mingle with the green community of SoCal and learn how the notoriously superficial, smoggy, celeb city was spreading sustainability.
Stereotypes aside, LA delivered with an outstanding attendance and hundreds of passionate eco experts, companies and organizations.
As the live stream co-host for the Earth Balance Channel I had the pleasure of interviewing the plant based nutrition panelists.
The all star line up included:
Kim Barnouin: Co-author of The Skinny Bitch and new book The Ultimate Everyday Cookbook. The stylish beauty was just as witty in person as in her books.
Jeffrey Smith: The #1 expert on GMO’s and author of Seeds of Deception and Genetic Roulette. Jeffrey sent shivers down my spine with the real GMO facts. Now I’m more determined then ever to help pass the newest legislation on GMO labeling in California.
Julieanna Hever: The Plant Dietician and author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Plant Based Nutrition, who was just on Dr. Oz! Her passion for helping people is contagious. She glows like the sun.
Kirk Hamilton: Physician Assistant, salsa dancer and author of Staying Healthy in The Fast Lane. Kirk is on a mission to prove that everyone, even single guys, can cultivate the energy and health of their dreams with a plant based diet.
Ray White: Co-Owner of The Veggie Grill restaurants. Ray offered us insight into the booming vegetarian sustainable restaurant business. Watch out Baja Fresh, Ray is right on your heels!
In our rapid fire discussion we asked the experts 5 questions. With only a minute to answer they lit up like christmas trees. Eager to share their knowledge. After the 45 min panel discussion we shot five min interviews with each expert. From Kim’s meditation routine, to Kirk’s salsa dancing, I had a blast getting real with the panelists.

You can watch the interviews and entire panel discussion on The Earth Balance Channel.
We are posting interviews all week, beginning with Kim Barnouin and Kirk Hamilton. Learn how Kim stays so calm, grounded and vibrant with her uber successful career and family . Kirk is the doc I always wanted. Fun, articulate and living life to the max!
Beyond the festival we zipped around to a few favorite local raw restaurants.
Euphoria Rawvolution Cafe was packed as usual..
I munched the tasty Superfood Salad packed with avocado, kale, flaxseed oil, green superfood powder and tomatoes. Yum!
Strolling through Santa Monica shops I found my new boyfriend!
Adrienne and I sipped green juice and gulped down a few plates of purple goddess salad with flax crackers and raw hummus from the vendors at the festival on Sunday. Lunch in the sunny 80 degree weather was a must!
Stay tuned for more updates leading up to Green Festival San Francisco next weekend November 12-13th. Keep up with all the action and conversation as it unravels on my twitter feed.

How did I do on camera? I didn’t realize how strong my tan lines were!
