At the moment I haven’t worn shoes for over a week. I’m grounding in the pleasure of wiggling my toes in jungle soil and crystal white sand of Bali. And while I dance and teach barefoot when I’m home in San Francisco, flexible and light shoes are important to protect my soles between clients and classes.

At this point I hope you’ve read my posts and watched my videos on foot strength, alignment and flexibility. You know how much I adore and burn holes in my toe sox.
A few months ago I thought I’d try Nike’s ridiculously light and flexible athletic shoe called Nike Free’s. I bought a simple black pair with a pink sole. I’ve taken them all over the world, hiking the high desert trails of Mount Kuchima and running on Anguilla beaches.
I recently learned you can design your own using Nike’s Facebook Application! I was so inspired by the ideas from the world gallery that I designed Epic Self Frees!
