My explant surgery is officially booked! I’m nervous and excited to get my breast implants taken out in March 2022. It’s been 18 awesome years, but the time is now to end this chapter.

If you’ve been following my stories at all over the last few years, you’ve most likely heard me discuss openly and honestly about my journey with breast augmentation.

I have no shame, guilt or regret about having the surgery 18 years ago. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed having larger breasts AND I haven’t had any obvious health issues from them over the years until recently.

The Good in Goodbye

A few weeks ago I had some blood work done and discovered that my body is no longer tolerating these foreign objects.

I’ve been experiencing some breast implant illness symptoms over the last few months and finally have conclusive evidence that they are negatively impacting my health. I’ve been wanting to explant for years, but have been very scared to go under the knife again.

I’ll be sharing my explant and post-operation detox journey because I think it’s important to bring awareness to the health complications and illnesses that can occur from implants.

I also want to blast through the stigma, judgment and criticism that many women experience when they undergo cosmetic surgery.

There is nothing to be ashamed of and no one can tell you what you should and shouldn’t be doing with your body.

I’ve already received SO much support from this incredible IG community. Thank you all for sharing your explant stories with me and recommending specific surgeons. I’m ready!

Much Love,

Amber Sears
