2011 has been fantastic thus far! Wouldn’t you agree? January, the month of resolutions, goal setting, and vision board concocting is coming to a close. And while my fingers are still sticky with vision board glue, I wanted to check in with you. How are you stepping into the new year? While some swear by long term goal setting, intense to-do lists, and timelines, others float through the month without a care. Just because it’s a new year doesn’t mean much, right?
I strongly disagree!
Every day and moment is a chance to chose. It scares me how quickly time disappears. I sometimes wonder, if we didn’t have holiday markers, like New Years, our days would blur until one day we wake up and all our dreams are still roaming lost in our imagination.
Mindfulness, meditation and yoga teaches us self acceptance and the importance of living consciously in every moment, but that doesn’t mean we sit on our butts and wait for the universe to unravel in our favor. Action is required! Our intentions and thoughts lead the way. If you never put your intentions out into reality, plant the seed, then nothing will ever bloom.
In 2011 I am planting truck loads of seeds. A rainforest actually! I’ve spent a few weeks milling over some goals and streamlined my priorities. Something I will try to do every few months from now on. I forgot how fun planning can be!
Here are three of my goals and the insanely useful resources I’m using to make my dreams a reality this year…

My Go To Online Resources:
For yoga and pilates self practice anytime anywhere I follow along with the happy yogis at Yogisanonymous.com or Yogaglo.com. For a challenging Pilates mat class from experts in the field I head to Pilatesanytime.com. They add props for added variety and fun!
The longevity, raw food and superfood king, David Wolfe, is the author of one of my favorite books, Eating For Beauty. He also heads up The Longevity Now Conference and throws chocolate parties too. I’m went to his latest chocolate party last night at Fort Mason and have a ton of cutting edge nutrition information to share with you!
I’ve committed to meditating every day and so far so good! There’s an awesome app for iphone that I’ve been using to help me stay focused: Zen Timer.

  Goals:
1.) Teach a tour and dance professionally around Europe including; London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Barcelona.
Travel hacking plane flights has become a new obsession. I figure if I want to dance around the world I better learn how to get the most for my moolah. Frequent flyer mile programs are completely foreign to me. Thus I have elicited the expert help of my good buddie Chris G. from
The Art of Non Conformity. He’s traveled to almost every country in the world and has an awesome new program coming out on Tuesday. I can’t spill all the juicy details, but let’s just say he has the worlds best guarantee: 1 plane ticket every 3 months. I can’t wait to learn all his fancy tricks. Europe here I come! I’ll be sending you the link on launch day, Tuesday January 25th so you can learn too.

2.) Produce and sell my first video product.
Over the last month I’ve been surveying, writing scripts, and filming. Back in the Summer I shot a quick video called
“Breath, Posture, and The Six Pack.” This 5 min clip went insanely viral! Obviously you felt how a few simple breath techniques can chisel your waist. So I am developing a full blown program. A six pack of videos for your ultimate six pack :D. My timeline says in bold that it will be out by end of Feb. Game on!

3.) Continue self education in living food, superfoods, holistic plant based nutrition, yoga, pilates, dance, and business.
Now where do I start?! First and foremost business exists in everything. I am single handedly schooling myself in marketing and PR with the help of several books, collaborators and mentors. I’m compiling a list for you!
As you read in
My Year On Raw, I’m in love with the raw food lifestyle and plant based nutrition. It has changed my life and now I’m educating others. I offer Skype and SF based lunch dates focused on nutrition and education. I sit down with clients and map out a program that fits into their busy lifestyle and aligns with their mind, body, spirit goals. So fun!
Dance is why I wake up everyday. I can’t live without it. The strength, alignment, and presence I practice and teach with Pilates and yoga have kept me in the game and pushing my limits as an artist and athlete. Every moment I spend on stage, mat or reformer is an internal exploration and discovery. It only gets deeper.

We are our own teachers.
