Play is not a luxury. It’s a necessity for creativity, fulfillment, and deep joy.

I used to be so serious and uptight about many aspects of my life, both personally and in my business. But I’ve learned a lot about the power of playfulness in the last several years.

Seriousness creates constriction. It blocks the ease, grace, and natural flow of life. It comes from a place of fear, not love.

When we choose to play, we are acting from a place of love. And I think we can all use a little more love in our lives. Don’t you?!

I grew up as a pretty serious, disciplined, and professional kid from a young age.

As I grow older, my playful side is expanding more than I thought possible. Living in Costa Rica and being with JP Sears have been awesome catalysts for this shift.

My weekends are now dedicated to playing outside, connecting with those I love, rejuvenating, and exploring.

There is a Tarzan Jane inside me that’s always on the prowl for the next adventure. I now let her come out to play way more often, and that feels INCREDIBLE.

Do you prioritize play? If not, how can you add more of it into your everyday life? Drop a comment below. I’d love to hear from you.

Lots of Love!
