I’ve recently received many questions about my personal experience working with master plants like ayahuasca.

Many people want to know my thoughts on the healing power of these master plants.  I’m an open book and happy to share my experiences and the countless transformations I’ve witnessed diving deep into this powerful work.

My personal journey with master plants from the Amazon and the ancient traditions that serve them began in Costa Rica 6 years ago.

Prior to my first Ayahuasca ceremony, I was totally “straight edge”. I’d never experienced a psychedelic or entheogen. I was very resistant to “substances” that could alter my state of consciousness, even if it was a plant.

At the time, I was a hardcore yogi, meditator, and raw foodist. I was very strict and serious with my spiritual practices, and I was strategically doing my best to walk the spiritual path towards enlightenment and higher states of consciousness.

After reading about Ayahuasca and watching several sacred plant medicine documentaries for about a year, I was feeling the call to drink. But was super scared.

I was nervous to face my subconscious mind and emotional baggage. I didn’t want to feel out of control. I’d become a complete control freak at the time. Thank goodness that has shifted a lot!

My First Experience with Master Plants

I was “randomly” invited to a ceremony nearby with a wonderful female Colombian shaman.

I decided it was time. It was a small group of close friends, so I knew we would have a lot of 1:1 attention from the team of facilitators.

My first ceremony shattered my ego and showed me the immense power of my spirit. It was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, but I knew I would return.

I had a lot more to learn and heal. I had NO IDEA how much I needed to work on internally until it was all revealed to me.

Since then, I’ve had the honor and privilege of sitting in 70+ ceremonies and holding space for hundreds of people in my own sacred medicine retreats.

I owe so much of my quantum grow and healing to this medicine and the incredible muestras who maintain the tradition with the highest level of integrity.

Walking the medicine path has been the GREATEST gift and blessing in my life.

I can talk about this work for hours, but now I’m curious. What would you most like to know about master plants? Comment below and let me know!
