Two weeks ago I took a whirl wind culinary tour of Santa Monica and Venice Beach in Los Angeles. As I continually add more and more raw whole foods to my diet I’ve under gone a complete re-education in “cooking.”

Preparing mouth watering dishes has never been so easy, creative and satisfying. My mad scientist ways lead me to THE MECCA of raw food restaurants. L.A. houses 20+ raw food restaurants and a massive, passionate community. Celebs flock to these creative raw hubs for the best tasting healthy eats.
Along my journey here in the bay I met celebrity Chef Jason Wrobel. We connected again during my trip South where we sat in a vibrant park chatting about the wondrous world of raw food and how he keeps mind, body, spirit balance. He continually cultivates his most epic self through positive intention and following his passions.

I asked Jason some of the most common questions about adding more raw foods to your life. He unleashes simple recipes, budgeting and convenience tips along with some upcoming surprises!

My goal as an artist is to use organic raw and living foods as a catalyst to heal our bodies and increase conscious awareness of our connection to Planet Earth. Through food, music and entertainment, I intend to inspire peoples creativity, tantalize their imaginations and turn them on to how fun, easy and incredibly tasty healthy organic raw vegan cuisine can be!- Jason Wrobel

Jason is a graduate of the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute and the former Head Chef at Cafe La Vie. He offers television and media hosting, personal chefing, raw prep classes and private home instruction.
He is the personal chef for Woody Harrelson and celebs like Jeremy Piven, Russell Simmons and Donna De Lory have raved about his cuisine. He is the featured raw chef at David Wolfe’s The Longevity Now Conference and has been a presenter at major festivals and events such as Lightning in a Bottle, BhaktiFest, The Raw Dolphins Retreat and The Raw Spirit Festival.
Quite an inspiration eh?! Love love love his amazing energy! His Simple Vegan Classics DVD mentioned in the interview is available on his website, along with tasty recipes and demo videos.
Here are a few pics of the amazing concoctions I munched over the weekend. See all the photos and details on my facebook, including the best raw doughnut holes on the planet!
